Pre-K to High School
Children who are in pre-school through eighth grade meet in the Blessed Sacrament school building on Sundays from 9:00 to 10:00 am during the school year. Our volunteer catechists follow a Diocesan curriculum and use age-appropriate resources to help children learn about our lives as Roman Catholics.
In addition, occasional family events take place during regularly scheduled class time. Children love the opportunity to be with their adult caregivers in their classrooms and it helps to enrich faith sharing in the home.
Family Faith Formation
In this option, we provide families with materials based on the weekly Sunday readings and Diocesan Religion curriculum. This allows families to read and review the Gospel together at home and discuss it in a way that’s meaningful to them. In addition, these families gather together monthly at St. Mary’s to attend Saturday Mass, have dinner, and come together for support, encouragement and fellowship.
In this program, children receive the grade-level textbooks they would typically receive in the Sunday morning religion classes. Parents should facilitate the work and review of each chapter, and it is expected that the families will participate in all scheduled family events. A meeting with a staff member from the Faith Formation Office each semester is also expected.
