The Children’s Liturgy of the Word is an enrichment program for 4 – 8 year-olds that takes place during the Liturgy of the Word on Sunday mornings. After opening prayers, children are dismissed with trained volunteers—often other parents– for the Liturgy of the Word, which is delivered in a child-friendly environment.

Children become more familiar with the scripture readings and basic liturgical prayers and hymns. There’s also an age-appropriate discussion of the readings of the day. This allows younger children to better understand how the Gospel message relates to their everyday experiences.

This program is dependent upon the volunteers who lead and assist the weekly sessions. We are grateful for those volunteers who regularly assist us, and we are always looking for additional help.
